Leadership Philosophy
At Teldon we believe that everyone is a leader. Every employee who works at Teldon is a leader within their role as an employee, a family member, a member of the community. Our purpose as an organization is to "To inspire potential in people through personal and business growth" and therefore we believe that:
Leadership is NOT a destination or a role in the organization.
Leadership at Teldon is actively demonstrating in all that you do our core values. When we demonstrate these values we inspire potential and grow as individuals and as a company. We are showing our personal and company leadership.
Leadership means that we acknowledge that:

Executive Team
Michael McAdam CGA
President and Chief Executive Officer
Michael McAdam is the Chief Executive Officer and President of Teldon Media Group.
He is a change leader in the personalized print media industry. Never accepting the status quo—Michael has driven a strategy of transformation of print products from a simple mass consumable to a personalized high-end marketing product.
Michael leads change through his employees. He has created a culture that truly lives its values. Some of the values he has instilled include “giving a damn”, “finding a better way” and “Teldon Time”—the unique concept that companies can grow while remaining nimble and being adaptable to change.
Under Michael’s leadership, Teldon has transformed itself from a little company with big dreams into Western Canada’s largest independently owned printer, an established thought leader in the natural health arena, and an integral part of the marketing plans of thousands of companies and individuals throughout North America.
Background:
Teldon has been in operation for over 40 years and Michael McAdam has led the organisation for over 10 years—a period of intense growth and significant change.
During his tenure, Michael has paved the way for Teldon Media Group to more than double its revenue. He has also overseen a successful push to expand the company’s international operations within the United States and Australia, as well as a focus on a new and upgraded Canadian Head Office.
Headquartered in Richmond BC, Teldon’s offices overlook the north arm of the mighty Fraser River. Teldon also has a modern print facility nearby in Richmond.
Michael has driven the strategic platform of Teldon Media Group to reflect the digital and personalization era that the print industry is now in.
Within its print manufacturing division, Teldon provides the highest possible quality print materials created on the newest equipment to produce stunning, award-winning products. In 2010, Teldon received more than 100 awards of distinction from the Print industry for its innovative and creative products and designs.
Michael brings his drive and focus for winning—in an ethical and fair manner—to all that he does. Michael sits on the Board of Governors of the CGA-BC association, the Teldon Community Foundation, Bulembu Foundation. He is also a member of CEO Forum (Chief Executive Forum).
Michael is a husband, father of three, and a Vancouver Canucks fan!
Ryan Benn
Executive Vice President and Group Publisher
Ryan Benn is the Executive Vice President of Teldon Media Group and is a proven leader who knows what it takes to win. His approached to business embodies the combination of vision and execution. For the past six years Ryan has played a strategic role in overseeing the overall business strategy, resulting in the delivery of break-through results. Looking ahead, he will be focussed on accelerating the adoption of Teldon’s suite of integrated media products and services to both small business and enterprise customers.
Ryan is a high energy team player who achieves success by building consensus. He is able to motivate others to excellence and achieve success despite obstacles. He thrives on challenges and tough assignments and believes that work should be fulfilling and rewarding.
Teldon’s growth oriented environment has helped Ryan to be awarded for business results. Since 2005, Ryan has been become one of Marketing Magazine’s Top 30 Marketers in Canada under 30, a Business in Vancouver Top 40 under 40 recipient, and is the youngest ever recipient of the annual BCIT Distinguished Alumni Award recognizing Entrepreneurial Innovation.
Background:
Ryan joined Teldon Media Group in 2005 as President of alive Publishing; a Teldon Media Group company. Since that time his role has progressively expanded, and in the fall of 2008 he was named Executive Vice President of Teldon Media Group.
In addition to an Honours’ Marketing Diploma in Entrepreneurship from BCIT, Ryan has completed three years of college studies. Upon graduation Ryan was awarded the BCIT Top Graduate Award (School of Business) alongside a number of other graduating scholarships & industry awards.
Following his graduation Ryan spent two years working with SMC Pneumatics before starting up a management consulting company, which he successfully ran for two years, prior to joining Teldon.
Whilst studying at BCIT Ryan met his wife of 6 years, of which they are now proud parents.
In addition to Teldon, Ryan sits on numerous boards including: the Canadian Health Food Association (Vice Chair), the Teldon Community Foundation, Global Mothers, Inspire Health, and is actively involved in Bulembu International. During his off time Ryan enjoys cooking, growing organic vegetables, collecting fine wine, golfing, watching the Canucks, and spending quality time with his family.
